About MarginHero

Built by a field asset-protection operator, not a generic training brand.

My name is Blake Smith. I am the founder of MarginHero, with experience across big box and specialty retail. I built this for independent retailers dealing with the same theft, refund, cash, documentation, and training problems that larger chains have whole departments to solve.

20 years of asset-protection experience turned into practical tools for growing retailers.

Why I built it

Most margin loss is not mysterious. It is just undocumented, untrained, or invisible too long.

After years in asset protection, I kept seeing the same pattern: owners knew something was off, but they did not have a clean system for proving what was happening, documenting incidents, or training the next new hire before the same problem came back.

MarginHero now starts with the lowest-trust-barrier proof: processor statements and vendor invoices. We identify correctable costs and billing discrepancies, help the owner pursue the recovery, and only then expand into register monitoring, documentation, and training when the relationship has earned it.

Recover

Put visible money back first

The Margin Recovery Check reviews selected card-processing statements and vendor invoices without asking for POS access or customer card data.

Independence

Advice without a processor commission

MarginHero accepts no processor residuals, referral bounties, or switching commissions. That promise is made in writing.

Protect

Strengthen the operating controls next

Detect, incident documentation, and HeroMode training remain the long-term system, introduced after the first measurable result earns trust.

The standard

Independent retailers should not have to guess where margin is going.

MarginHero is the asset-protection system I wish more operators had access to sooner: practical, direct, and built around the moments that cost real money. If a tool does not help an owner see the issue, prove the issue, or prevent the next one, it does not belong here.
